2012 General Rules
1. Contest is open to two-wheel drive, rubber tire tractors. No dual wheels, chains, studs or paddle tires allowed. No fluid in tires. No wheel weights. 2. All drivers under 18 years of age must have a parental/guardian signed consent form on file in order to pull. Driver must be able to operate and control tractor. 3. All tractors are subject to safety, engine, and/or fuel checks as deemed necessary by head officials. 4. Hitch height is 13" in all classes. Must have stationary hitches in all directions. No sliding hitches. 5. Tires may be no larger than 26x12x12 in all classes. 6. All tractors must have a hood and grill, except in the hotrod class. 7. No pressurized fuel tanks or nitrous oxide allowed. Electric fuel pumps allowed in all classes. 8. Loose clothing must be tucked in and jackets zipped up. 9. It is mandatory that all drivers attend any drivers meeting that may be held by promoter and/or track officials. 10.
No portion of tractor may interfere with the hitch of sled during pull.
Chain and kill switch must be easily hooked without interference. 14. No welding heads in any stock class. 15. JUDGMENT CALLS BY TRACK OFFICIALS ARE FINAL AND NON-APPEALABLE. 16. All fair pulls will be ONE hook only. 17. Decision for a ONE hook will be made the day of the event, based on the number of entries before event starts. OPERATIONS 1. The track layout will be 200 foot long and 20 feet
wide with a 40 foot restart line and 50-foot "no man's land" for safety.
Track will be marked accordingly. Track layout will abide by specs. Of
Insurance. SAFETY PRACTICES 1. All tractors
must be operated in a safe manner at all times. Tractors with only one
seat will have only one occupant. This is to include tow and maintenance
vehicles. Whenever tractor is under its own power, speed will be
comparable to tow speed. 4. During active competition, driver will have at least one hand gripping the steering wheel at all times and both feet on footrest. 5. Using the edge of fender for a grasping point at any time while pulling will result in a disqualification.
6. No part of the body
should be below fenders when leaning back during pull attempt. 10. Alcohol users must wear a full fire suit (jacket and pants). CLASSIFICATION OF TRACTORS STOCK 1000# Single Cylinder only, .030 overbore max, (26 carb. for 12 horse stock and 30 carb. for 14 horse stock.) NO OTHER ALTERATIONS OR MODIFICATIONS CAN BE DONE TO CARBURETOR. Pure stock, no aftermarket parts. Governor can be removed, GM points allowed, milled heads allowed. Port and polish, manufactured cam only. Clarification of what our rules for the 12 HP and 14 HP stock classes were built on: 1. a. No 18 horse cams allowed in 12 and 14 hp classes b. No reground or aftermarket cam allowed 2. a. Single cylinder engine only.
Open bore, stock stroke, stock valve size, any camshaft stock location, stock style carb (may be altered no larger than 1.200"venture), milling, decking, porting and polishing allowed.
25 H.P & UNDER STOCK 1000# 1. Flat or overhead
valve. 16. No velocity stack. 17. No EFI (electronic fuel injector). 18. No 30 horse heads. Must be 25 and under head. 19. Copper head gaskets are allowed.
48 Cubic Inch V-twin Class 1000# 1. Single cylinder overhead valve,
max. 48 cubic inch. ***All other general rules apply to this class*** 20 hp & Under Stock Class 1000# 1. No professional tires (cepek, pitbull, lawn tech, vogel, nichols, big bar cepek etc.) 2. Overhead valve allowed 3. No boring, porting, polishing, decking or milling is allowed. 4. Wheels and tires must be 26x12x12 and under, tractor tread or turf tires only. 5. Two barrel carbs allowed only if it is factory installed on the motor. 6. Stock means “purchased new and taken directly out of the box“. *** All other general stock rules apply to this class***
Hotrod Class 1150# 1. **NO CAR ENGINES ALLOWED**2. 4 cylinder limit (4x1--2x2--4) Open cc 3. Mandatory chain guard must be secured to tractor for safety. 4. No turbo's, blowers, superchargers or fuel injection 5. Must have bump box/chain guard 3" to 5" behind tires 6. Air or water cooled 7. Hood and grill optional ***All other general rules apply to this class*** ***IF IT IS NOT LISTED ABOVE IT CAN NOT BE
DONE.*** EQUIPMENT 1. All tractors must have a secure seat with a 3 inch back
or bar above foam padding
with a 45° angle on the seat. Seat may not
extend behind rear tires. All tractors must have shielding over clutch, consisting of 1/16" steel or 3/32" aluminum. Stock Altered must have a scatter shield opposite camshaft side of motor. It must be a minimum of 1/8" steel or 3/16" aluminum. It must cover full height and width of block and be attached in a secure manner frame and head or head plate. All final drive belts must be covered to 180 degrees. All stock altered tractors must have flywheel and clutch shield of 360°. FUELS All classes must run fuel with a specific gravity of .760 maximum, except alcohol burning tractors in their allowed classes. Any tractor of any class may have fuel checked at discretion of track officials. Alcohol users must wear a full fire suit, consisting of jacket and pants. Jacket must be zipped up and collar closed. WEIGHTS/WEIGHING IN No late entries once class has started. Class is considered to be
started once the first tractor is hooked to the sled. MEMBERSHIP Membership dues are $10.00 per person. POINTS SYSTEM 1. Points are awarded to tractor, not driver. 5. Same frame must be used for entire season in order to keep points. 6. In the case of a tie for end of the year points, the winner will be determined by the most pulls in that class and the most wins of the class for the entire pulling season.CONTEST ENTRY 1. Scratching from class prior to its start constitutes a
refund of entry fee. Scratching from a class after it has begun shall
not constitute a refund. CONTEST PROCEDURE 1. Contestant must pull in the position drawn. In case of
mechanical breakage, which has been confirmed by a track official,
contestant may drop to last position. If breakage is not evident, puller
may drop three positions. From the moment that both track and sled is
prepared for competition, puller has two (2) minutes to hook and make
his/her attempt to pull. 6. All pulls are to start with a tight chain. 7. There must be at least three tractors to make a class. 8. The 1st puller in each class DOES NOT have the option of dropping their first pull. If the sled is re-weighted after the class has started, the first puller has the option of coming back to restart the class. If he/she does not choose to come back in the first position, the second puller will start the class. TEST PULLER 1. Test pull will be used when deemed necessary. PULL OFF 1. Order of pull off will be in the order in which tractors
made full pulls or tied distances. REASONS FOR DISQUALIFICATIONS 1. Decisions of the officials are final. Arguing with
officials can/will result in event disqualification or suspension. 6. Excessive loss of liquid onto the track surface by a pulling tractor, either while hooked to the sled at the start line and not moving or while in forward motion and not due to internal breakage will result in disqualification. Excessive is defined as a steady or intermittent stream discharge onto the track, or a spot equivalent to more than 6 inches in diameter. 7. Loss of any equipment onto track during course of competition will result in disqualification. 8. During course of competition, tractor may not touch boundary lines or disqualification will result. However, the sled may go out of bounds without resulting in disqualification. 9. Any attempt to pull before the proper signal from the flagman will result in disqualification. 10. Any deliberate attempt to cause slack in chain while under green flag will result in disqualification. 11. All tractors will be available for inspection upon officials' request. 12. No intentional zig zagging on the track. MEMBERSHIP SUSPENSION If deemed necessary, a puller and/or tractor may be placed on temporary or permanent suspension. Reasons include but not limited to: arguing with event officials, fighting, alcohol or drug abuse, illegal tractor advantages, unsportsmanlike conduct, or unsafe behavior. This pertains to tractor, driver, and owner. PROTEST 1. A tear down protest consists of a deposit of fifty dollars ($50.00) at time of protest, this protest is for head removal. Protest may be made by anyone competing in same class as tractor in question. Protested puller must match fifty dollars ($50.00) with the winning side being awarded the money. Association receives $10.00 of the protest money. A protest for all stock classes consists of $100 deposit for complete tear down at the end of pull event.2. Protest must be within five (5) minutes of the conclusion of the class. If protested driver will not submit to tear down, he/she will be considered illegal and forfeits all purse, prizes, points, and the protest is considered failed. If the tractor is proven illegal the protest is considered failed. Tractor must be proven legal before being allowed to pull in any future events. 3. If a driver is protested in a class and is signed up for a
later class, the tractor must be parked next to the scales and not
touched until he/she has pulled in the other class. Then the
tractor will be tore down.
